I have spent few hours trying to disable this quick launch bar (touch bar) ... I have disabled it in registry,hardware devices and start-up config and it still works fine!!
The only solution that I have found was to order a part from HP which will replace this bar with another - that wouldn't let students to switch the wireless icon off by just touching it!!
